Who the hell are these people?

Sunshine is my cousin.  She lives a few hours away so we don’t see one another often but make up for it in phone calls.  We are close like sisters.

Dirtygirl is my co-worker.  I was a little nervous having a another emotional woman working in the office, but it has proven to be a great working/personal relationship.  We have known each other a few years now even before working in the same company.  She keeps me entertained and incidentally she isn’t a dirtygirl at all, it’s just funny when you know her.  😉

L’il mama is a lady I met shortly after my separation from my ex-husband a few years back.  She and I get together with the children and spend time together.  She is tough as nails, that one.

Madibagirl is a new blogger and we have been friends for many years and grew into adulthood together.  Smart lady over there.

Glamgal and I have been friends several years now.  We love going shopping together and just spending time.  She’s like a rock that lady.

Red is my lesbian friend.  It makes no difference mind you, just thought I’d mention it before I talk about her wife.  We met in college and have remained friends.

DenMother used to work with me.  She is a little older and definately wiser than I.  She is practical and oh so kind.

Turtle is a friend I got in my divorce.  Hahaha!  She and her husband used to hang with us years ago and when we split they remained friends with me.

Cuz is (obviously) my cousin.  Our relation is just as close a blood tie as that of sunshine and I, however, we are starting our relationship much later in life.  I could not be happier about this as it is a blessing to have her in my life.  Our friendship is blooming.

I will be adding some other names when I figure it all out.  I have some funny work stories to tell you all.

  1. I think it is great that you have supportive people around you….unfortunately most of those who I called friends disappeared after ended my marriage. I have had to try to establish new friendships, which is not as easy as it sounds. I realized that I met a lot of people in the past via my kids, but they are now grown.

Good luck on the date….I have been on my own for almost 2 1/2 years and dates are so few and far between that each one makes me a little ‘crazy’.

  2. I truly do have some amazing friends breve. I completely understand what you mean about losing friends when relationships end though. It seems that the older we get (as women anyhow) the harder it is to form good friendships with other women. I really believe we’re lucky even if we just have a few really great ones though.

  3. Autumn…I must say..I have read and loved every single blog on here!! I am addicted and check almost everyday to see if there is anything new in your life. You are strong and amazing…powerful in person and in words…Love you Sista!
